Biografie Deadbeat

Deadbeat is a melodic metal band, originated in Enschede (the Netherlands). Combining five styles representing each members input, it totals to an explosive and unique sound. Their debut EP ‘Redefinition’ was released in March 2008 and was received well by the critics of several magazines. September 2008 they joined forces with their new vocalist Donovan. From that moment on the machine called Deadbeat started running tighter, faster and harder.

Deadbeat was founded back in 2006, trying to bring something new to the scene. They bring you hardcore yet melodic metal from the heart. Due to their pounding beats, hard riffs and bloody screams, Deadbeat has an eye-opening and ear-popping live performance. With a lot of venues left to play their asses off and their ever-growing fan base, the rise of Deadbeat seems inevitable.

August 2007 Deadbeat recorded their 5 tracked EP “Redefinition” at the Sample Temple (Enschede). A true EP to show the world a new angle on metal. A point of view which stands out in todays emo-crowd. “Redefinition” shows Deadbeats dedication to and philosophy on music. Some professional thoughts on Redefinition:

Fall 2008 Deadbeat decided to part with former singer Jozef de Paauw. Publicly it seemed silent for a few months, but behind the scenes things were going fast. Before they even started searching Donavan Pinontoan walked in and convinced them he was the right guy for the job. Within a few weeks he already found the perfect balance between his bloody screams and catchy phrases. With their new found muscles more brutal songs were created and they are ready to kick your ass.
